This is a view of a streamlet or creek that feeds into Discovery Lake in San Marcos, California. In March of 2020 this creek was alive with native Grasses and Flowers . The luxurious growth inspired me to paint this scene brimming with life! Impasto painting technique with thick brush strokes and spatula applications give the surface energy!
